Ep 3: Weekender Files - Leslie LauBach
/

Welcome to episode 3 of The Popko Project Podcast where Popko embarks on a series highlighting past colleagues from the Weekender. The Weekender was, at one time, THE GO TO arts and entertainment publication in Northeastern, Pennsylvania.

Popko started his career at the Weekender as an intern in 2004, hired full time as a marketing and sales associate in 2005 and departed as the general manager in 2013. Popko played an important role in the success of the Weekender and was even given the name Johnny Weekender as he became one of the faces of a product that was a household name.

These episodes dubbed “Weekender Files” will take a look back at past employees reflecting on how they started at the Weekender, what the Weekender meant to them, memories, the ups, the downs, and where they are today.

Leslie LauBach was the Weekender staff writer in 2005.

Enjoy!
