About Us
Hi, I’m Popko, founder of The Popko Project. I’ve spent almost 17 years in local NEPA media and most recently was the host of a radio show called ALT-Natives on ALT 92.1. The show highlighted musicians from in and around Northeastern Pennsylvania. In addition to the show on the radio, I also hosted a podcast called ALT-Natives After Hours to supplement the radio show which featured not only musicians but also business owners, photographers, audio engineers, etc.
Recently, the show was put on hiatus. Without knowing how long that would be, I felt compelled to start something new. A place where musicians, artists, entrepreneurs, photographers, designers, etc, could benefit from.
I introduce to you The Popko Project. A platform for discovery of arts and entertainment and an overall vehicle for good.
You’ll find long form podcast interviews/conversations with people from in and around NEPA.
You’ll find artist playlists and merch for sale where proceeds go directly to them.
You’ll find imagery from sculptors, painters, designers, tattoo artists, etc. with links going directly to their pages where you can commission them for their services.
My goal for this is to provide quality content that is not only entertaining, but also informative and enriching to Northeastern Pennsylvania.
