Welcome to episode 11 of The Popko Project podcast where I’m joined by Sam Chiarelli, a published author from Pittston, Pennyslvania. We talk about his book, “Dig: A Personal Prehistoric Journey”, which was released in 2018 and the upcoming free virtual discussion about it from the North Pocono public library on Thursday, January 21st at 6 p.m. It will be held via zoom and you can email etarr@albright.org to register and receive a link to join.

Sam, a Pittston native, has dug for fossils in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Colorado. We discuss a little bit about those experiences, why dinosaurs are so fascinating to young children and even adults, dinosaur and nature experiences you can take advantage of in Northeastern, Pennsylvania and more.

We even touch a little bit on his time spent in the band, The SilenTreatment, who was very popular in the late 2000s
