Ep 13: The Robinsonade
Welcome to episode 13 of The Popko Project podcast where I’m joined by members of a band called The Robinsonade from Northeastern, Pennsylvania. The band is comprised of Joe Lombardo, Ryan Grutt (also of University Drive, Alma Mater and Retrovai) and Nick Montini and Ryan Whitman (both also members of The Cryptid)
They’ll be releasing an EP called “Lukewarm” on Friday, January 29th and in this episode you’ll get to hear the premiere of a song from that EP called “Fox Hole”.
We talk about how the band got started, how they wrote and recorded the EP during a pandemic, and how members are able to differentiate their styles of playing from the other bands they are in.
