Ep 14: Weekender Files – Bridget Chomko
Welcome to episode 14 of The Popko Project podcast where I’m joined by Bridget Chomko who served as an intern for the Weekender in 2007 before being hired full time as a sales rep later on that year.
For those of you who don’t know, the Weekender back in the day was THE BIBLE when it came to arts and entertainment in Northeastern, Pennsylvania.
Sadly she only stuck around about 10 months but still left her mark. We talk about her time at the Weekender, her most embarrassing moment while she was there, her current position as the associate director of annual giving at the University of Scranton, the non-profit the she, her husband and their friend started called Fight4Vets to help veterans, and more!
These episodes dubbed “Weekender Files” take a look back at past employees reflecting on how they started at the Weekender, what the Weekender meant to them, memories, the ups, the downs and where they are today.
