Ep 27: Weekender Files – Christina Romanchick (Dugan)
Welcome to episode 27 of The Popko Project where I’m joined by Christina Romanchick aka Christina Dugan as I knew her at the Weekender.
Christina served as the marketing associate for the Weekender from 2002 – 2005 (intern and full time). She was my boss when I was an intern and I’m thankful she left when she did in 2005 becuase it enabled me to interview and be hired full time as the mareketing/sales associate and essentially start my career.
For those of you who don’t know, the Weekender back in the day was THE BIBLE when it came to arts and entertainment in Northeastern, Pennsylvania.
Most of the old Weekender crew had crazy Weekender stories, but I think some of her stories after she left are crazier. It’s been about 15 years or so since we last had the chance to talk like we did here and it was really great catching up with her.
These episodes dubbed “Weekender Files” take a look back at past employees reflecting on how they started at the Weekender, what the Weekender meant to them, memories, the ups, the downs and where they are today.
