Ep 28: Nick Duvall
/

Welcome to episode 28 of The Popko Project podcast where I’m joined by Nick Duvall, owner and master craftsman at Duvall Leatherwork in Kingston, Pennsylvania.

Before opening Duvall Leatherwork, Nick was also the frontman of the metal band, Cyphilis, later knows as Spitcan. The band was extremely popular in Northeastern, Pennsylvania and even caught the ears of some record labels. Unfortunately their goal to make it main stream never quite came to fruition, but he wouldn’t want it any other way as it gave him the ability to focus on his business which specializes in prototyping and manufacturing finished leather goods for wholesale and retail sales.

It was really cool getting to speak with Nick on this kind of level. I knew him as a musician and although I knew he opened Duvall Leatherwork in 2005, it was interesting to hear him speak about why he started the business and how he wants to make a difference not only in the community of Northeastern, PA, but also as a business owner to his employees.
