Ep 45: Gus The Savage
/

Welcome to episode 45 of The Popko Project where I’m joined by Gus Thè Savàge. Originally from the Bronx, Gus has called Northeastern, Pennsylvania home for the last 5 years.

He has been in the rap game for the last 10 years and has won a few awards for his efforts courtesy of the Steamtown Music Awards. Just recently he decided to do a complete rebrand of himself, his image, and his music.

We talk about what that looks like, why he’s doing it, what we can expect from him this year, signing to DI Records, and how he has persevered after losing his mother at a very young age.

We also talk about what it was like hearing his music played on the radio for the first time as well as some of the struggles hip hop and rap artists face finding venues to perform in.

Welcome to the show, Gus The Savage.
