Ep 73: Wayne’s World
In episode 73 of The Popko Project Podcast I’m joined by Jaysen Yatko, owner of Wayne’s World Dallas (570) 674-1995, and Sam Ciravolo, manager at Wayne’s World and member of the band Spud.
We talk about the very long history that Wayne’s World has in Northeastern, Pennsylvania and how Jaysen became the new owner in 2021 in the middle of a pandemic. We also get into what Wayne’s World specializes in like music lessons, instrument sales, record/CD/video game sales and most recently, the construction of a new stage that will provide a space for musicians to not only perform, but also come together as a community in a time where stages/venues for musicians seem to be disappearing.
They’ll be hosting a monthly jam session on the first Tuesday of every month (the first one is TONIGHT 3/1 at 7 p.m.) as well as other scheduled shows including one on March 11th featuring local blues legend, Stingray.
It’s always cool seeing businesses expand their offerings and do things to really plant their flag in their local community.
